Antaisolar has recently provided solar racking solutions for a new 26MW utility-scale solar plant in Cambodia that is scheduled to be grid-connected at the end of 2021.

The solar farm is located in Bavet, a special economic zone on the border gate between Cambodia and Vietnam, about 150km from the capital, Phnom Penh. Factoring in cost and reliability, Antaisolar engineers worked to provide steel solar structures with concrete foundations.

Antaisolar’s technical supporting team came on site to provide installation guidance for nearly three weeks, ensuring a smooth installation process for the entire program of works.

The client spoke highly of Antaisolar’s service, which adapted to meet the special needs of grounding and bonding for the solar plant. Antaisolar provided a quick response throughout the entire installation.

At present, the development of solar energy in Cambodia is in its infancy. The country has suffered from power shortages, but in 2020, solar power generation only accounted for 3.4 per cent of the total domestic power supply, demonstrating a great untapped potential for the energy resource.

Antaisolar will continue to provide efficient solar racking solutions with localisation services in order to meet the growing demand for electricity and to improve the reliability of Cambodia’s power supply,
